Our Story
Rehearse started with a single problem: dance teachers were using social media to share training videos with their students. It worked, until Australia's social media ban for under-16s meant students could no longer access their own class footage without a platform they weren't allowed on.
We built the first version of Rehearse as a focused solution — a private, social-media-free way to record sessions, upload videos, and leave timestamped feedback that students and parents could access without any of the downsides of social platforms.
But as studios started using the app, it became clear that video feedback was only part of what they needed. Coaches were still managing their class timetables in spreadsheets. Announcements were still going out via group chats that parents silenced. Coaches were being added and removed manually with no proper management tools.
So we kept building. Rehearse now covers the full operational picture of a dance studio — from publishing your weekly timetable to managing coaches and cohorts, posting announcements that reach parents via push notification, and giving precise video feedback tied to the exact moment in a recording that needs work.

Safe, Private, No Social Media
Parents create accounts on behalf of their children. Students only see content from their own studio. There are no public profiles, no ads, no algorithm, and no requirement for children to have social media accounts.
